23.03.12 | Sunday | Piece of toast with bone-marrow herb butter (and a small cup of beef broth made from the marrow bones) | Leftover spicy-sesame cabbage salad from last night | Pot Roast (from homemade bone broth.) Sourdough garlic toasts with marrow-herb butter. Fresh gardend salad. And an appetizer of toasted sourdough with marrow-herb butter, onion jam, chili-pickled carrots, roasted almonds, & warmed olives. |
23.03.13 | Monday | Egg cooked in homemade tomato-chile-garlic puree | Green salad and a few pirces of the beef from last night's pot roast. | This was an unusual night at home, where it was just me for dinner, and I was exhausted...so I had exactly what I was craving...made a little plate of yellowtail crudo, then later had a bowl of Grapenuts with cold milk. (yes, a weak moment) |
23.03.14 | Tuesday -It's Spring break for my school, so took a 1/2 day off to spend time in my garden...fun! | Skipped breakfast this morning because I was out the door early to go to the nursery in search of seedlings. | leftovers from Sunday night | Out to dinner with my husband and step-son at Chula Seafood...had 2 raw oysters and 2 fish tacos. 23.03.16 | Thursday - I'm taking a "vacation" day, & driving an hour to my mom's house to help plan a bridal shower at her home. The bookends of this outing are meals out with my kids! | Kale & cucumber smoothie | Out to lunch with one of my daughters...at Andreoli's Italian Market. One of my daughters recently visited Paris and she brought back this lovely traveling case for me. The fabric is so pretty, and so I chose it for my menu textile-icon this week (see top of page.)
