Saturday

Bacon and Egg with Gochujang & miso sauce. And a delicious grapefruit from our neghbor's tree!

Ate out - a burger at Shake Shack, then movie at the mall...The Fablemans...a great recommendation from my in-laws!

Cauliflower-chive Soup & Sourdough toast. (We celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas last week, when the older kids were in town. So this was a quiet night at home.)

Sunday

Prosciutto & Gruyere ​Omelet with Arugula - saute the gruyere first, then crumbleand add to omelet, with shredded gruyere

Spinach and potato bake. Sliced pear.

Monday

Beet, pear, rasberry, pineapple & arugula smoothie

Individual home-made freezer meal - pot roast and brussels sprouts

Spanish beef chili over rice. Green salad with olive brine dressing.

Tuesday

Egg over sauteed chopped potato with a little miso sauce and espelette

Leftover Spanish beef chili in a homemade corn tortilla...a taco!

Wednesday

Beet, pear, rasberry, pineapple & arugula smoothie (leftover from Mon)

chicken broth (made from the bones of the chicken last night) and sourdough toast with almond butter & banana slices

Mexican Chicken Soup made from the bones and meat from last night's roasted chicken, & risotto leftovers. Also added slow-cooked pinto beans, cooked in the chicken broth. Yum! Cornbread muffins as a side.

Thursday

Sourdough toast with avocado and microgreens. A few slices of leftover roasted beets.

Green salad with basil, heirloom tomato slices and homemade mozzarella.

Smorgasboard of various leftovers. Tired night and bits of various meals that aren't enough to freeze as full servings,but also shouldn't be wasted. :-)

Friday

Sauteed mushrroms and scrambled eggs

skipped lunch today...busy day and not very hungry

Early "New Years" special meal with our parents. Roasted Leg of lamb with green olive and anchovy rub. Roasted potatoes with fennel and garlic. (And my mom made a beet salad) Shortbread Cookies and Cherry sorbet for dessert.
