Menu for Dec 2 - 8, 2023

Dec 2, 2023 - My "Pretty, Please" photo of the week - Each year I choose one main paper for gift-wrapping, and I also use brown butcher paper with colored ribbons. This is my 2023 Christmas wrap, along with light olive green sheer fabric ribbon. It wasn't necessarily sold as a Christmas wrap, and I purchased it in October, but it works and it's a pretty addition in my living room!

Menu: By planning ahead, I can always count on having delicious & nutritious "fuel" for the coming week, as well as some flexibility to switch things up. Saturday

Farmer's Market -- Egg and chopped steak burrito...no cheese. Hot & delicious!

Made pureed celery soup with some of the veggies I purchased at the market: celery, onion, carrot, potato, celery seed & salt and pepper. And after pureeing, a dash of butter and cream.

Holiday work party at Luci's at the Orchard - on their beautiful patio. Enjoyed a variety of appetizers...crab cakes were my favorite.

Sunday

Soft boiled egg over toasted Ezekial seed bread

Spicy Tomato-Peach Soup. Garden Salad. Butter cake for dessert (with my mother and daughter, Rachel)

Leftover soup...combined the celery soup and the spicy tomato soup into one...yum!

Monday

Homemade granola with a drizzle of kefir and topped with pear slices and blueberries

Simple green salad with raw veggies

Skillet cutlets with roasted asparagus and carrots, homemade buttermilk biscuits

Tuesday

Fried egg over a little leftover cutlet & veggies from dinner last night

Veggie Soup with a little chorizo, cilantro and a drizzle of Tahini

Sushi roll on the way to cooking class

Wednesday

Homemade granola with a drizzle of kefir and topped with pear slices and blueberries

Simple green salad with raw veggies

Lamb and white bean soup. Green salad. Pears with prosciutto, parmesan and balsamic

Smoothie - kale, frozen peaches, Hemp seeds, macadamia nut milk, ice

Grilled ham sandwich, sliced cucumber

Christmas Party for yoga studio - smorgasbord!

Mushroom 1-egg omelet

Green salad with roasted beets

Out to dinner at CM2. Special --> Swordfish and veggies
