Chocolate Caramel Cake

You can see from the pictures that I'm not much of a baker. But some of the people in my family have a sweet tooth, and I just feel better about them having a homemade treat from time to time, instead of store-bought sweets. So...occasionally I try to bake. This recipe comes from the book pictured below (scroll to bottom of this post), and it can be found on pg. 258. My pics don't do the cake justice. Between eah cake layer, there is a thin fudge layer AND caramel layer. The frosting is a buttercream with homemade bourbon caramel sauce mixed in. Then more of the bourbon caramel sauce is drizzled (sorry about my lack of technique!) over the top. I cut this thin slice for my husband and had a few bites. Sweet and moist! (The big slice in the middle was to share with my in-laws!)
