Chicken Pot Pies & Curry Cauliflower Salad

Made chicken pot pies, along with a Curry Cauliflower Salad. Both recipes are from #adhocathome however I made individual pies instead of one large one. I was out of my homemade chicken broth, so roasted a whole chicken. I needed the bones for making more broth. I didn't want to freeze the chicken meat, because it had already been previously frozen, so that was the inspiration behind making these pies...to gain some chicken bones. To source local organic, humanely raised chickens, I sometimes have to purchase a couple at a time and then freeze them. The whole chickens from #themeatmarket in Cave Creek are yummy!


I recently ate at Ad Hoc on a trip with friends to Yountsville, so was also inspired to pick up my Ad Hoc at Home Cookbook and hope that Thomas Keller will rub off a little of his genius on me! Both the pot pies and curry salad were delicious. The salad was refreshingly light...thank you chef Keller!
