Mushroom & Gruyere Scramble

This is a simple combination of sautéed shiitake mushrooms & fresh scrambled eggs, sauteed in butter topped with a little shredded Gruyere, salt and pepper. Great start to the day!


Succulent Burgers & Bun Sauce

For our 4th of July dinner, I made burgers...but forgot take a picture. Everyone loved them though! I used a combination of ground lamb and ground beef, one anchovy, parsley, fresh garlic, finely diced onion, a few drops of sriracha and salt & pepper. For the bun sauce, I mixed some of my prepared horseradish (the leftovers get frozen in an ice cube tray), a splash of dill pickle juice, some finely-diced/smashed tomato, a couple drops of honey and rice vinegar, a little dijon, couple squirts of sriracha, and a little bit of homemade mayo. I've also made this before with full-fat yogurt instead of the mayo, and it's equally as good. I use brioche buns when I don't have time to make my own, and just barely brown them by sautéing the cut side in a little olive oil.
